The Most Colorful Event in Omaha, NE

Earlier this month, Omahans participated in an amazing and extremely colorful event. This event was so popular, it drew hundreds (if not thousands) of people out onto the streets of Omaha.

Color Me Rad Run

Perhaps the most incredible and most colorful 5K-run ever organized, this race is organized throughout the year in many cities across the nation.

The people of Omaha definitely ran in style on July 8, 2012. Color Me Rad is a run that puts a smile on everyone's face.

The race started at 9am when runners were sprayed with bombs of colored corn starch. At four different stations along the way, runners were sprayed with more colored cornstarch. When the race was over, participants celebrated with a "final throw" in which clouds of color exploded above them, covering the parking lot and every participant in a rainbow of colors.

If you missed the race this year, mark your calendar for next year and visit the Omaha blog to see just how beautiful running in Omaha can be or read more about Color Me Rad and find a race near you.
