Italian Renaissance Revival Statue

Located in Midtown Omaha, the Gold Coast Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. According to the Gold Coast Historic District Preservation Association, 357 properties have historical significance in this area.

The Gold Coast Historic District is comprised of Blackstone, Cathedral, and Joslyn Castle. These neighborhoods reflect the housing styles of the times, including Tudor Revival, Classical Revival, Italian Renaissance Revival, Victorian Eclectic, Prairie Style, and Jacobethan Revival.

Earlier this month, Omahans participated in an amazing and extremely colorful event. This event was so popular, it drew hundreds (if not thousands) of people out onto the streets of Omaha.

Color Me Rad Run

Perhaps the most incredible and most colorful 5K-run ever organized, this race is organized throughout the year in many cities across the nation.

The people of Omaha definitely ran in style on July 8, 2012. Color Me Rad is a run that puts a smile on everyone's face.
