Choosing to Rent Out Your Home

In the current housing market, some people find it difficult to sell their homes. Downsizing to a house payment that is less than the amount that they are currently paying can be the only option for a homeowner whose home simply isn't selling. Rather than taking a significant loss on the value of their home, many sellers opt to rent out their home rather than sell it at a reduced price to buy themselves some time. This scenario isn't all that uncommon across the country. Many homeowners have become unwitting landlords, even if it's only until they can sell their home in a more favorable market.
Know the Local Rental Laws
Most homeowners would rather not become landlords, but if it's the only viable way to avoid taking a huge hit when they sell their…

A multigenerational "cohousing" concept is being explored for a new subdivision in Papillion. The first of its kind in the Omaha Metro area, this proposed community would be built on the site of Villas at Creekside if the current managers and creditors agree to the sale. The local developer, Jack Round, will be presenting his concept to the City Council, hoping to gain their support as well.
Although a "cohousing" concept is new to the Omaha metro area, Round says the project would be similar to other cohousing communities nationwide. His proposed village would combine the privacy of individual homes with energy-saving living. Residents would own their own homes and have access to facilities such as a shared house for meetings, guest rooms,…

Below are the top five attractions in Omaha. Except for number five, the results are according to Trip Advisor results.
#5 The Creighton University or The Old Market?
The Creighton University is Trip Advisor's number five Omaha attraction, and students of the university and their families often comment on the beauty of St. John's Cathedral. Perhaps the Old Market should be tied with the Creighton University for #5. A historic section of downtown Omaha, the Old Market, offers cobbled streets, preserved buildings, good restaurants, coffee shops, and interesting street performances. Both are lovely places to go for a stroll and to enjoy the scenery and free entertainment.
